Position Overview

Commissioning of a new data center is one of the most crucial aspects in determining the success of the overall project. Ensuring industry leading standard methodologies are implemented successfully on all our technical infrastructure brings confidence to not only the Operations department, but to the entire business and our customers.

Vantage is looking for a driven guide to ensure that current standard processes are performed successfully and continually improved upon, with the objective to deliver the design intent with zero potential concerns in a safe, effective and efficient manner.

Coordination and translation of requirements from Vantage's internal subject matter experts ensures long term operational sustainability is preserved while driving towards optimized construction delivery.

Duties

  • Develop standard requirements, guidelines and kit of parts to support commissioning of new and existing infrastructure across the Vantage portfolio

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the commissioning execution

  • Drive initiatives to create schedule and cost efficiency while enhancing operational excellence within the commissioning discipline

  • Develop project delivery standardized KPIs to ensure timeliness and accuracy of project status reporting in the commissioning phases

  • Handle 3rd party resources to develop requirements, guidelines, templates and kit of parts material to support Vantage's global commissioning needs.

  • Partner with regional execution resources to ensure standards are well understood by both internal and external parties.

  • Facilitate the feedback cycle, incorporation of updates and lessons learned to ensure program efficacy.

  • Define and develop key business engagement process that enables the leadership team to make quicker decisions and drives decision making, where feasible, to be made at a project level.

  • Partner with Design and Automation Innovation colleagues to ensure parts and systems approach is reflected in commissioning productization, creating a comprehensive and aligned suite of product offerings.

  • Conduct research and development to drive greater schedule and cost efficiency across the commissioning lifecycle, including but not limited to the utilization of automated tools and artificial intelligence.

  • Provide review of project performance to ensure understanding of commissioning product needs.

  • Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards for relevant KPI's that highlight performance and quality of projects and commissioning agents.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, mechanical or controls required.

  • >5 years of experience in Data Center commissioning required.

  • Experience with live operations within a data center an added benefit

  • Data Center, high-tech, or rapid growth industry experience is strongly preferred, but not required

Additional Information

  • Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000 base plus bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
