You will enable and drive the process for software delivery effectively delivering enterprise software of the highest quality in VMware Tanzu by Broadcom. This role is focused on program management for Tanzu Application Service, our flagship product, and its ecosystem.

Job Description

As a Principal Engineering Program Manager, you will be expected to:

• Keep short-term, tactical details of a product release in focus, clearly visible to teams and stakeholders, and under control. You'll be the primary release coordinator-managing the development and implementation process for Tanzu Application Service and we will be counting on you!

• Work towards the long-term goal of further building sustainable software development and release processes that will scale for years to come.

• Build the mechanisms that allow the engineering and product management teams to understand its progress towards its near and long term goals and illuminate paths to get there.

• Own our project management tool choices and processes. Help us pick well and continue to get the best out of existing ones chosen e.g. Jira

• Work with adjacent product teams to ensure they understand what is expected of them to be a part of our product ecosystem and track their progress towards these asks.

• Work with our partners who publish products as part of our product ecosystem to ensure they align with our release processes

• Enable the Tanzu Application Service team to connect those goals to the overall Business Unit and Tanzu Broadcom Objectives, maintaining alignment within the overall roadmap.

• Understand and learn distributed systems, how the Tanzu products work, and partner with engineering teams to communicate the technical direction, vision and strategy.

• Monitor, track and report your projects from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules, budget and deliver on schedule and within budget constraints

• Enable, monitor, track and report and risk mitigate for projects that involve integration planning as VMware adopts Broadcom's tools and processes.

Tanzu Division

The Tanzu Division empowers platform engineers to accelerate application development and delivery so that they can focus on building great apps.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 12+ years of related experience, or MS degree in Computer Science or related field and 10+ years of related experience.

• Relevant Certificates in Agile Project Management

• 1+ year Experience being a Jira administrator for projects

Where is this role located?

This role is for in-person work at one of Broadcom's office locations in Palo Alto, Bellevue or Austin.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $111,000 - $210,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
